Zebrafish Husbandry Basics: Breeding [Video]

Kalyn is the project manager for the transgenics team. She received her master's degree in microbiology from Oregon State University in 2019. Her research involved developing a spatio-temporal model for salmonid parasites (and their genotypes) in the lower Deschutes River of Oregon in relation to precipitation and water temperature. She jumped right from her master's to working at InVivo Biosystems where she harnessed her aptitude for organization and planning in a project management role. Kalyn spends most of her free time gardening, cross-stitching, and chasing after her two young boys.

Emma has been involved in numerous completed and active transgenic projects with InVivo Biosystems since early 2019. Her focus is currently on managing the zebrafish colony, and supervising the husbandry team. Prior to InVivo Biosystems, Emma worked in laboratories as an undergraduate at Oregon State University for 3 years. She assisted on projects studying eDNA detection and degradation of amphibians at different life stages, and coral thermal tolerance. Emma is passionate about animals and has extensive experience dealing with them in laboratory, education, and veterinary settings. She enjoys spending time with her dog, cats, and other critters, as well as engaging in outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking, and mountain biking.
