DNA Day 2019!

Did you know April 25th is National DNA Day? This day is held annually to celebrate the completion of the Human Genome Project in 2003 and the discovery of DNA’s double helix in 1953, two discoveries that have paved the way for the amazing progress being made with genome engineering today. As the history of genome engineering tells us, without these early advancements in DNA, modern discoveries like CRISPR could not have happened. The goal of DNA Day is to provide resources and opportunities for everyone to learn more about genomic research, how far it has come, and how it can impact their lives. Check out the infographic below to learn more about some of the key milestones that have led us to where we are today.
